Once you have accessed the Marketing Communications Editor by either creating a new communication or by selecting to modify a preexisting communication template, you will be presented with the following screen.

Please Note: If you selected a pre-existing template or communication, it will autoload all of it's components to the Message Preview to view and modify.




1. Content Element List

This is the content element column. From here you can drag and drop the desired content element into your template. 

Note, at the bottom of this column you will find the similarly named "column" section which allows you the ability to add content elements side by side in the editor and overall layout of your email communication.
 

2. Template Editor/Preview

This is where you build and view the contents of your template. Any of the pre-existing or elements that you add or remove will display here. 


3. Styling Column

Whenever you select an element in the template preview screen, you will be presented with all the styling options available for this widget. 


4. Device Preview 

You can review how your communication will look specifically for users using a computer, or mobile device by selecting the appropriate option from the list. 


5. Save Button 

The save button saves your current progress in the editor and tells you of the last time the template was saved. 



Adding an Element to Your Template 

  • Find the desired element from the Content Element list on the right hand side of the screen. 
  • Click and drag the element from the list, and into the editor preview. in the desired location.  



Editing an Text Element in Your Template

  • Once you have added an element to the editor preview, you can select it by clicking on the element in the preview window. 
  • In order to edit the text of text element, select the element from the preview window and then begin typing the desired message. The window should provide you with a tool bar that allows you to modify the layout like any other text editor. 
  • If you wish to change the padding, line height, or letter spacing of the text you can do so on the right hand side of the screen within the styling column.


Moving an Element in Your Template

  • Select the element you wish to move by clicking on it in the editor preview window. 
  • Click and hold the name of the element type near the the top right hand corner of the element,
  • Drag and drop the element where you desire in the template.  


Deleting and Element in Your Template

  • Select the element you wish to delete by clicking on it in the editor preview window. 
  • Next to the name of the element type at the top right hand corner of the element, select the trash can icon.


Adding a Column to Your Template

  • On the left hand side of the screen, scroll down to the "layout" drop down menu.
  • Select the desired column layout you wish to use, and then drag and drop it into the template like any other element. 
  • You can now drag and drop content elements into the newly created column cells.
